Guided trip
Hi Trip Mates, I am Sonia (38 yo) from Indonesia. I have traveled for work before, but after I resigned from the job, I was crazy to travel again and again. I’m doing my own business now with my husband. This trip will bring you to the Baduy Tribe. The Baduy in the province of Banten, west of the city of Jakarta, is a sub-ethnic group that believes in keeping their villages completely closed to outsiders. Nor do they venture out of their own area, and for centuries have kept themselves to their own way of life. In time, two communities emerged, known as the Inner and the Outer Baduys. While Inner Baduys are not allowed to step outside their own periphery, the outer Baduys may do so, but must still strictly keep to their old traditions. We will visit and stay overnight in one of their traditional huts. It will give you the local experience on this trip. Krakatoa or Krakatau is a caldera in the Sunda Strait between the islands of Java and Sumatra in the Indonesian province of Lampung. The caldera is part of a volcanic island group (Krakatoa archipelago) comprising four islands. Two, Lang and Verlaten, are remnants of a previous volcanic edifice destroyed in eruptions long before the famous 1883 eruption; another, Rakata, is the remnant of a much larger island destroyed in the 1883 eruption. In 1927, a fourth island, Anak Krakatoa, or "Child of Krakatoa", emerged from the caldera formed in 1883. There has been new eruptive activity since the late 20th century, with a large collapse causing a deadly tsunami in December 2018. Another place we will visit is Ujung Kulon, National Park. Ujung Kulon is the last known refuge for the critically endangered Javan rhinoceros after poachers killed the last remaining rhino in Cát Tiên National Park of Vietnam, where a small population of 10 or fewer remained in 2010. 💰 What is included in the price: - Accommodation - Transportation - Entrance tickets

Your lunch will be served on the beach while enjoying the beautiful day at Rakata Island. We go by cruise to the child of Krakatau, landing and hiking up. The view is really fantastic, with a mix of pristine lake, very green vegetation, and apocalyptic porous red-volcanic rocks dropping all the way from the crater deep into the sea. The trek is very easy, and first starts in dense and healthy jungle.
